Anybody remember Jamie Mueller? Chris Burkett? Art Still?
Dwight Drane? Jeff Wright?

Ah my youth!
Name some "lost classics."

Remember Don Smith? He was the #3 RB behind Thurman and Kenny Davis. He scored Buffalo's first TD in their first SB.

Well, he lives in Tampa now (He played for the Bucs before the Bills). My buddy Roger bought a mini van off of him a few years back. He's a used car salesman now.

Pete lives in Charlotte, NC. He does some radio gig with regarding the Panthers.
Carlton Bailey use to coach a high school team here but I believe he is an assistant with the University of North Carolina.

The QB coach under Flutie and Johnson, Turk Schoenert, lives a couple streets over from me.

Keith Mckeller. He was a big part of the Bills offense. The guy could run down field all day. Lofton and Mckeller stretched out the defense, opening up the rest of the k-gun attack.

I saw Pete Metzelaars on all fours puking on the field in college. He played for the Wabash Little Giants. We always used to yell at them asking if they were little giants or big dwarfs.

Al Bemiller used to own a bar right by the Erie County Fairgrounds.

I still have the 45 of the classic tune "Twelve Days of a Buffalo Bills Christmas", a HUGE WNY hit in 1980:

"On the 12th Day of Christmas Ralph Wilson gave to me:

The Bills in the playoffs
Rueben Gant a leapin'
McKenzie a blockin'
Will Grant a hikin'
Jeff Nixon singin'
Clark interceptin'
Frank Lewis catchin'

JOE CRIBBS' moves

Kadish attackin'
Ferguson a passin'
Mike-Mayer kickin'

on a Chuck Knox Super Bowl team!"

Anyone else remember that one? 1980 was a fun year after the dark age 1970s!

That fits. He can still put them away as of a few years ago. Partied with him in Canton at Billy Shaw's induction reception. :drunks:

What are you talking about? All I was doing was posting the lyrics to a song!

By the way, that team went 11-5 and played a darn good game against San Diego. Its defense was all-NFL. Joe Ferguson is on the Wall of Fame.

That was a good team.

Mark Kelso, Nate Odomes, Matt Darby, Leon Seals, Ray Bently anyone know what happened to them? (I know they obviously aren't playing football anymore).

Matt Darby was supposed to be the be-all end-all safety who would singlehandedly revolutionize the way the safety position would be played with his blazing speed, and his 42 inch verticle jump, and ferocious hitting style when we drafted him out of U.C.L.A., instead he got injured, went to Arizona and played a season or two, then got more seriously injured ended his career.

The first part of what I typed sounds like Roy Williams - I could care less if he doesn't fulfill his potential while he's sporting a cowboys uniform, but if he comes over to Buffalo at any time in his career, he'd better have his act together.

OJ is searching all the golf courses in the United States looking for the person or group of people who carved up his ex-wife and her friend. :cynic: I sure hope he has some luck with that. He better not look in the mirror if he wants to continue his search. Doing that will only reveal the real killer.

I though OJ was no longer allowed to set foot on a Golf Course in the U.S.

Seriously, he did get banned from one for having a temper tantrum, and throwing a golf club at a golf cart.

He didn't have any family close by so he gave us his 4 season tickets. Spent that year watching games 2 or 3 rows up Bills side 50 yard line. He also got the entire team to sign a ball for the store before the first Super Bowl. I think he went back to AZ after the bills released him but that dude always marched up and down the sidelines to keep the crowd in the game.
