    Possible TE...

I cannot believe that no one has talked about taking a look at Jermaine Wiggins. He looks like a beer keg, but he is a decent blocker and he can catch a bebe in the dark. Plus he wouldn't cost that much. He would be a nice dump off option for JP.

He might be lookig for a top salary for his average talent.

Putzier's contract set the market for the second tier TE

Maybe. The market determines some pretty big numbers even for untested players. Wiggins has bounced around some. I guess it's wishful thinking. The news is quiet about him though.

I mentioned this earlier. I love Wiggy!

Yeah Wiggins is probably the best TE available but thats not saying much. I think he would cost too much for what we would be willing to pay for a decent TE.

putzier is close to being a premier te.. this season most likely will prove that.

I can't trust Denver TEs. Besides Shannon Sharpe every TE that had a good year there left and became a bum. He did have a decent year last year but only started 5 games. Too much money for him and to give up a 6th round pick as well.

Putzier isn't near the class of Gonzales, Gates, Whitten, johnson , or Crumpler yet

I think Pollard will be 33 and possibly on the downhill side of his career. I'd like a younger guy, either in FA or the draft.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Actually, I think Pollard might not be a bad deal. B'cse of his age, he should be cheaper - and we already have young TEs. Pollard is just an insurance policy in case Euhus needs more time to recover. We don't want him out there before he's ready. Pollard is an excellent catching TE. His blocking skills aren't that great, but he can come in handy when JP is running for his life and needs to dump off a pass...

For the record, I do like Jermaine Wiggins too - as long as we don't pay too much.
