If we REALLY want a 3rd WR...

Ever considered some guy named Jerry Rice?

Yes he's old. And he has no more speed. But he still is as sure-handed as they come, and he wants to play. And since no one is giving him any offers, he'll be dirt cheap.

He can be the slot guy and comes across the middle. He'd be a hell of a dump off receiver for a young QB...

      No thanks.

If we are to bring in a viable option for #3 WR, I want him here for a few yrs

Now that David Paten is gone, I would like to see Peter Warrick get released by Cincy

if the price is right fine but I still would like to see what reed could do before I put rice on the field for some reason I really like reed as far as a slot reciever and would hate to see him leave the Bills

He's going to find it tough finding a 3rd WR job on a WCO team, let alone any team. If he still wants to play- I forcast Detroit - as a mentor to Rogers and Williams.

I agree with you, why bring someone in here that will be here 1 year and he really is done and should retire the best WR ever....

I have tremendous respect for Rice and I think he's clearly the best receiver in the history of the game. But he's just too old. I don't know why he's bouncing around from team to team, barely contributing. He's had a great career, made his money, and should retire with some dignity intact.

I don't want to see him here and don't think he would help much.

You mean Corey Bradford? Texans WR?

While I like the kid- or even Better Kevin Johnson- I don't think the Bills need more WRs.

If he goes anywhere, I bet it is a reunion with Gruden in Tampa.

I like the peter warrick Idea. Rice has my utmost respect, but he's old. I really like Aiken. If he gets a chance to step he's a good WR3. Reed isn't completely washed up yet ... We haven't given our recievers a chance to sign in the passed two seasons. We shall see.

                        - I remember watching objects fly in my house Jan. 27th 1991 (XXV) as Scott Norwood missed, But I remember holding hands in my living room as Steve Christie scored three points to cap a 35 point comeback victory with Frank Reich at the Helm.

No way does Rice come to Buffalo to spend his last NFL season in crappy weather. If he plays, it will be in a dome or FLA.

Personally I think he should retire. He should sign a 1 day contract with the 49rs and leave out that way. Besides, it would give the 49rs 1 seelout for the season.

If JR wants to come play here I would be fine with that. I watched a couple of seattle games last year, and he would be a more than capable 3rd WR. He still has the hands and can always get open with his intelligence and route running.
