A bone without much meat.

Giants just announced that they are no longer interested in Plaxico. I know the Vikings are still an option. But if Mularkey can convince Plaxico to play for one year here to increase his value next year, we'll see a pretty motivated receiver out there. Imagine Moulds, Evans, Plax out there and McGahee at the back, if Losman has his head screwed on right ...

Maybe just a dream.

Are you going to pay his salary? Our 3rd WR would be making more than most of our starters.

We can't sign high paid players to fill back-up rolls.

3rd WRs (not on the colts) are good for 35 catches and 400 yds.

for the vet minimum of 550K I would bring him in. Reed costs $455K in base...is PB worth the extra $100K?? I think so.

Burress isn't signing anywhere for Vet Min. The Giants or Vikes or even Philly - all teams with cap to spare, would give him more. And he ain't going anywhere to be a 3rd WR in the slot.

Spend the money on Oline and give JP time to find his #1 or #2 WRs.

Michael Harrison, the agent for Burress, said that the Giants withdrew the proposal only after he and his client rejected their latest offer. That offer, an upgrade from previous proposals suggested by the team, was for six years and $24 million, with roughly $14 million of that payable in the first three years of the deal. The two-tiered bonus would have been about $8 million.

It is believed that Burress and Harrison are seeking a contract similar to the one former Carolina Panthers wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad signed with the Chicago Bears two weeks ago

He would be a great signing but not really a need for us.
