Now it would put us in a bind at MLB but i was thinking of something like Fletcher and a 2nd day pick for Pace. I doubt we would go after Hartwell but I think a guy like Matt Stewart could get it done. Far fetched I know but I'm bored.

Highly doubtful because they have signed 2 LB's this offseason: Coakley & Claiborne

They can add Torry Holt as a toss-in.

Fletch is a team leader and a spark-plug....TKO wouldnt preform half as good without him, nor would our defense.

why don't we include a kicker and a center in that trade?

Thats an absolute horrible idea. they would atleast have to throw in Holt and Bruce for that to work out. Fletcher is great, he makes Taco look good

Some fans way over-rate Bills players and way under-rate other teams players.

I don't like this trade. We lose one of our best players and get Pace who is an expensive short-term solution. If Pace doesn't want to stay in St.Louis long-term, why would he stay here for more than a year? Plus, as someone earlier mentioned, STL layed some good money down on Dex Coakley and Chris Claiborne.

Toss in the #1 we don't have and they might listen

If your talking about me I'm not. I'm a big fan of Fletcher but I'm mostly going by what Martz had said that losing Fletcher was the worst move the team had made. Thats saying alot considering they lost Winstrom last year.

Guys, as much as I love Fletcher, Pace is a much, much better football player than he is and he plays in a position that is much more valuable.

Martz is a schmuck. Letting Pace go when they could get much more would be a worse move.

Throw in Jeff Wilkins?

Fletch used to be a Ram so I don't think that would work. But I do like the idea of packaging our #2 and one of our better players to get Pace. I don't know what they need but how about #2, TH, and McGee? Just throwing it out there...

They have two RBs already in Faulk (who is now second string) and Jackson.

How the hell would we fit Pace under the cap? Doesn't he make like 10 million a year?

Mr. Cynical

His cap hit is $8.4M, so we'd need to do some very creative accounting. :;

What's screwed up is that MW is making $9.17M. As I've mentioned, he's really a problem for us if we ever want to get a stud LT.

If I were the Rams, i'd take Mike Williams and a high pick for Pace

It would never happen. Clairborne was signed to play MLB.

That'll be an adventure. Same ole Rams defense.

If I were the Rams, i'd take Mike Williams and a high pick for PaceI agree - I actually thought of the same idea, but I'm not sure what they would do with him. I assume they'd try to plug him in at LT, but since he and Pace are the same money, they would be taking a pretty big risk. They could put him at RT, but then they'd need to fill Pace's slot and carry MW's bloated contract for an RT, which is essentially the problem we have.

But it would be a great trade for us - we get a great LT and shift the money on the oline back to where it should be.
