Biron has 1.00 GA in 2 Games...
The INjued Sabres are still INjured... blah blah blah..

Washington is Coming Off a late Game Winning in OT at Home Vs Atlanta 7-6. (Losing 6-4 Going into the Third.) so they are a Bit Tired!!)

Buffalo Is Well Rested..
Biron Has some of his Confidence Back fro the 2 WIns.

Sabres Looking to Set a New Wins Streak Record of (3) For this Season.

Cna the Sabres Pull off another impressive WIn? YES!

I Predict 5-2 Sabres. (1 Connolly, 2 Satan, 1 Brown, 1 Hecht)

If the Sabres can contain Jagr's line... they might have a shot.

Billington took the beating in goal, expect the Caps to have a fresh outlook with "zilla (Kolzig) between the pipes.

I expect a 2-2 tie

If they start Biron, Sabres lose 5-2
If they start Mika, 3-3 tie.

I don't know how good or bad the Sabres are, but I don't think the Caps are all that good. They've had a few recent games where they got their @sses whipped! Plus, with this new coach, I think it may take them some time to develop into a decent team and get used to the way he coaches. I think it could depend on where they're playing too. If the Caps are home, they may do okay. If they're on the road, I'd pick the Sabres. :)

Sabres are the worst in the league...

even the other worst team, Atlanta, has a lot of ositives tha the Sabres don't or until recently, didn't have.

Owner: Ted Turner (as apposed to Rigas and now the Hampster guy) Ted ownes the Braves and is trying to build this team the same way- home grown talent and when they get good- buy free agents.

Young prospects witha future- Kovalchuk- a hat trick last night. anny Heatly is awesome. Patrik Stefan is an up and comer. They recently made a commitment to bring in Byron Dafoe, who won 35 games last year with the Bruins. This team neds a couple of defensemen and they are going to be good for quite a while.

Washingtom has Jagr, a good defenseman in Gonchar, and solid goaltending. They have an owner committed to getting back to the finals (hence the commitment to trade and pay for Jagr)

Yeah, but they got that Jagr guy last year! And, he was supposed to do great things for the team then and I don't think he did. Plus, the Caps got rid of a few good players (Adam Oates is the only one I can think of off the top of my head). I really don't follow hockey, I just hear them talking about the Caps on the radio all the time. Where are they in the standings? Judging by the way they talk, they're in the bottom half somewhere.

Yeah, they got Jagr last year. He scored 79 points in only 69 games. How many Sabres does it take to score 79 points? Bingo.
Granted, it was his worst season in a decade, but still.......Don't knock Jagr. He's got 28 points in 26 games so far this season. Assuming he stays healthy and the ice remains open (i.e. they keep enforcing the non-obstruction rules) he should have a great season, especially if he gets a little help from his teammates. Konowalchuk got a hat trick the other night....so if you close off Jagr, someone else has to step up like Steve did.
