I'm a bit upset that Elton Brown went in the first round. I know he probably won't hang around until our 2nd round pick, but I can dream, can't I?

If two centers get drafted in round 2, I'll eat my meditation pillow. (That would suck....I fart a lot)

Ben Wilkerson is probably going to go in the 4th or 5th round, nice reach though.

What is the story on Wilkerson? It seems like he is at the top of most boards for C's, but he is being projected in 3rd and 4th rounds? Is he injury prone or something?

Based on his rank, it seems like he would be a good 2nd round pick.

Just wondering. I don't know much about him.

I believe he has been nagged by an ankle injury. He needs to bulk up a bit in order to play as an NFL center against the DTs in the game today. He also needs to work on his pass blocking, other than that the guy can play. The injury drops him into the 3rd round or later though. He has started four years at LSU. He is one of those guys that one draft guy says he is in the top 100 and another guy says he isn't.

Wilkerson injured his knee last year, ending his college career. He has yet to show anyone that he's healthy, as he didn't play in any bowl games, didn't participate in the combine, and still has not scheduled a workout for scouts. I don't know what the fascination is w/him. IF HE WERE HEALTHY, I could see it.

                            Sure it is.

                            Several things to note

*Wilkerson is about as strong as Trey Teague is. Not saying thats bad because sometimes you don't need to be really strong just take the right angles on pulling plays.

                            *Wilkerson is constantly injured.

*Spencer is younger which really isn't a huge factor but its a factor.

Hmmm....career ending knee injury? Why would Tom Donahoe ever draft anyone like that?

he's a 4th rounder unless TD shocks everyone by taking a chance on him in the 3rd.
