I got laid off today!!!!!

But its all good because I was leaving in 4 weeks anyway to move back to Louisiana. I feel bad for the others who got laid off as they arent moving.
I bought a house in LA about 6 months ago and have had a lot of work done on it, so its all ready to live in. Not to mention I already have a job lined up when I move.

So apart from a severance check for $5265.57 I get essentially a 4 week vacation, plus they are paying for my insurance for the next 6 months. Ironically last week we paid our rent out, and this months bills. So apart from April's bills everything is paid.

So my buddy and I went to Target where he bought an Xbox and halo 2. So naturally a case of beer followed home as well. And to top it off, we tee-off at 10am tomorrow.

It was really great because I strolled in today grabbed what few items I had there. Was all smiles, even hugged the guy responsible for the layoffs. Walked right out. They probably all thought i was coming back with an uzi or something.

Unemployment rocks.

Sound's like fun. I haven't hit the greens in over a year, and nothing beats halo 2.

I'd lay myself off if I could collect unemployment.

Does Canada have that type of program? :idunno:

I've offered to leave if the hospital gave me 1 week of pay per year of employment, plus 25% of my pension balance, and pay me for remaining PTO.......they said no

When you own a business, you can't collect it, unfortunately. But, I also don't have to pay into it! Suckers.
