                      i would be surprised if he was released. that would leave milloy as the only SS on the roster. baker and vincent could not play SS.

                      i would not be surprised if we draft a SS and THEN he is released.

                          I don't see how he makes the team this year at his current salary....clump..how much room is there in his contract to restructure him? What kind of cap # does he have now and how much could we trim out?

                            An escalator in his contract that went into effect this year brings his base salary from $455,000 to $1.43 million, according to union records. His release would save $975,000.
