    Redskins ink DB Pierson Prioleau

Prioleau spent the past four seasons with Buffalo and last year finished with 38 tackles and one fumble recovery in 16 games.

In six NFL seasons, the 27-year-old Virginia Tech product has one interception with 277 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks. He began his career with San Francisco and played two years with the 49ers before signing with Buffalo in November 2001.

Prioleau's best NFL season came in 2002 with the Bills when he started all 16 games and totaled 86 tackles. He is expected to provide depth in the Redskins secondary and play on special teams

The Washington Redskins signed safety Pierson Prioleau on Wednesday and prepared to welcome free agent defensive end Courtney Brown for a visit.

Prioleau and Brown are cousins - and both were cut Monday after rejecting offers to restructure their contracts.

we have been over this a score of times...it is about flexibility...the Bills could afford him they wanted him at less money...the 'Skins can afford him...

Look...if you play around with the contracts enough you, in theory, free up enough money to sign anybody. The hitch comes when you start putting money off into the future; that is how teams get into real deep crap...Washington is doing it again, just watch.

When the Redskins start winning consistently then I'll pine about their methods to cap management. They sign a ton of guys- they cut/release/trade a ton of guys every season. The revolving door over there is really panning out

I hear every year that the Redskins are heading for Cap Hell. When will they get there? Seriously. They're techniques don't work, but they still sign some big names evry offseason.

And who are us Bills fans to look down on their signings.

It's not like the Bills have made the playoffs lately.

Yeah, the Redskins are a real juggernaut, aren't they? Talk about spending more to get less.

Besides what Eb already mentioned, it's not like the Skins are taking over the contract he had with us

Who cares what the Redskins do with their money? It's not like too many GMs are following in their footsteps. If one wants to find a team that manages the cap most effectively, than look no further than New England. Buffalo isn't too far behind. Just watch, teams like the Redskins and Raiders are going to end up just like the Titans. I bet the Titans fans are really getting pumped about a playoff birth in about 5-6 years, huh?

The skins will be screwed in a few years...And for everyone that complains about our cap situation (even though we havent been to the playoffs in years) we have TD to thank for that.....

The Redsucks are banking on there being an uncapped year and dumping all of the excess spending. It works if there is an uncapped year and you have more money than brains.

True, but their plan will backfire when the new CBA is reworked before then. Stupid Redskins!

For his next move, maybe GW can lure Billy Jenkins, Eddie Robinson & Izell Reese to Washington?
