Who would you have chosen?

I would have looked at Castillo, Canty, or Hawthorne at #55

Chris Colmer in rd 3

Not bad. Personally, I would've taken the best interior OL at the time. I feel better about Ron Edwards starting at DT than I do the hodgepodge of players we have right now starting at either C or LG, especially if they move Teague to LT (please don't!!!!). I also wouldn't take Nugent that high. I would've tried to go OL with the first 2 picks, unless a really good DL or DB falls to the 3rd round pick. If Nugent was there in round 4 and I were picking for the Bills, I'd consider him there.

For some reason I have a feeling that we will take Munoz in the 2nd.

I hope not.

He's so overrated, injury prone, and inconsistent. I think people feel that because he's Anthony Munoz' son that he'll be a dominant lineman. Maybe I'll be proven wrong about him, but he hasn't demonstrated that he'll be a dominant lineman yet.

Injury prone?? HMMMM Sounds like a guy TD would draft!

I think TD will have to look at the possible replacement for Clements at corner. CB's and LT's are getting to expensive to keep and have a well rounded team, other positions seem to be available and priced within reason to be able to complete a team. I would draft a CB 2nd rd, LT 3rd, WR 4th, Center 5th, Guard 6th, RB 7th.

Agreed. I'd take him if he's there in the 4th, though. With our lack of depth and talent up front, our top 2 picks should be used there. There is NO more pressing need!

I think if this were a 7 round mock, it might have been different.

I like Spencer at #55, but I agree with you on Colmer in Rd. 3

Then it's just all about letting McNally train them all and experiment during pre-Season and decide who should start and at what position...

Colmer in the 3rd? Maybe, but his health issues have to check out first.

I just think we have the misfortune of needing to get an offensive tackle in a year where the draft is pretty weak at the position. There's a noticeable dropoff after the top 3 (Barnes, Barron, Brown), and even they are over-valued. None are a can't miss type like Gallery, Pace, or Ogden.

I'm still hoping a deal can be made or we look to see what's available after the June 1st cap cuts.

I don't hate the Spencer pick, it would have been better in the second.

Some other observations:

I can't believe
Alex Smith dropped that far.
Wilkerson went that high
Pittsburgh got Demarcus Ware, what a great pick

You mean TE Alex Smith, right? Yeah, that was weird. This mock draft would be REAL nice for the Steelers. I doubt the actual draft is as nice. It seems when we do mocks, people don't deviate from their board. In the actual draft, if a really good player is left on the board, someone will take him, regardless of which position their board says to go after.

A bleeping kicker on day 1? Jeez I hope TD doesn't think like the guy who picked for the Bills. I do like the Spencer pick however.

Again, I think the reason the kicker was selected was because it was the 3rd pick of a 3 round draft. In essence, IT WAS THE LAST PICK for the Bills. Now, do I think they'd do it in a 7 round draft? Probably not. Keep things in perspective.

The thing about munoz is that he is a Left tackle.....Colmer is not the athlete that he is ....The tenn workout was held yesterday.. And he dedcided to wait until march 30th to workout . When he can bench again.... If it was not for injuries i think he would be a high 2nd low first.....Positives about munoz

1. HE IS A LEFT TACKLE
2. Great Technician
3. Good Size 6-5-315
4. consistent
5. A leader Capt. on his team
6. Those Genes.......

LET'S SEE HOW HIS WORK OUT GOES...

I'd take him over colmer anyday

Why a center in rd 2..With a draft deep in centers .....I would get a true left tackle first..Besides whose on the roster that can play the position right now ?

The thing I hear alot about Munoz in injuries, although I guess Colmer isn't exempt from that himself. It's, of course a matter of who's there at the time of pick. I say Center in rd 2 b'cse we might be able to get the 1st or 2nd best Centers. These might be able to start. If you pick one up later, chances are, they may need some time to develop. For OT, we are definitely not going to get any of the top 5. We might get the 6th or 7th in rd 2 if we choose, but, will the 6th or 7th ranked OT be ready to start? Will the 6th or 7th ranked OT be better to get than a 1st/2nd ranked Center. Those are the tough questions that TD & company will have to decide on.

Just to address the points you made on Munoz:

1. He's a left tackle that many believe might end up playing RT in the pros.
2. He is a very fundamentally sound player. On this we agree.
3. Size; yes. Strength, athleticism, killer instinct; no.
4. Dead wrong. That's been one of the biggest knocks on Munoz: his inconsistency. As one write up says, "Look past the name, he is not his father."
5. One of only 2 players to be named captain in consecutive years. That's impressive.
6. I'd rather have a player than the son of a player.
