NFL teams have been able to get an immediate impact from rookie centers in recent years.
The Buffalo Bills could benefit from that trend.

The center position is especially deep in the 2005 draft. It would not be a shock if the Bills targeted offensive tackle and then center - or vice versa - with their second- and third-round picks in the draft. ..more (http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20050320/2014553.asp)

I found this pretty scary (it's an agent, so take it for what its worth):

"They were very aggressive," said DeMulling's agent, Ken Staninger. "I was talking to Tom (Donahoe) and Jim (Overdorf) virtually daily. I believe it was a lack of financial flexibility that the Bills just don't have right now."
If that's the case, we need to start doing something with MW's contract.

So much for the thinking of some people that TD isn't trying to upgrade the o-line.

If TD was that agressive with DeMulling I bet he will be as agressive with Anderson, perhaps more because there are less quality OL out their now.

Good article. Glad to see that TD wasn't just going to put us in trouble to get Demulling signed. I wish he would have gotten him but I understand why now.
