Since the league went to 4 divisions per conference three years ago, the Bills are one of only 10 teams not to have made the playoffs in that time.

Just think about how many times Buffalo has won the Division in the past 10 years. . .

That's enough for me.

"only ten teams"

Isn't that roughly 1/3 of the league?

I mean, I'm not happy with the last few seasons, either, but it's not like we're talking about the bottom of the barrell.

The bills had a 2-14 season a few years ago didn't they?

it's funny...I remember when threads like this had posts that read: "Bledsoe is here now, we will start being truely competitive again."

Let's not forget we have GW as the head coach for 3 years...Mularkey made improvements his first year replacing him, IMO.

Let's not forget that right before that first year in the new format we cut most of our team and started rebuilding.

And let's also not forget that we've had the most dominating team in the league in our division for those years! So It's not like winning the Division has been easy.

I blame Bledsoe, even when RJ was at the helm.

lol my thoughts exactly.

I'll blame Bledsoe for every Bills loss in 2005, too.

Exactly. I've stated this many times before - the GM is ultimately the one responsible for the success of the team. TD himself even admitted it on BB.com in one of his Q&A chats. Therefore, if the team doesn't make it again for the 5th straight year, you have to point the finger squarely at TD. Plain and simple.

He made two huge mistakes with GW and Drew which cost this team dearly. (IMO he also has another big one on his hands if MW doesn't play LT or take a cut) The team appears to finally be heading in the right direction however so I'll reserve judgement until we see what happens in '05. If we make the playoffs and the team looks strong, then the crappy start...however painful...will be water under the bridge. If we don't make it, then TD should be on a bus out of OBD.
