    Compensatory Picks...WTF!

I do and don't understand this crap. How can the friggin Eagles get four compensatory picks in the draft? Who did they lose in order to get four picks? Who did the Panthers and Patriots lose to get three picks?
Buffalo had better get two picks out of this otherwise losing Jennings and Williams to FA, two starters earning good money, is like saying they were nobodies.
I hope that the Eagles lose the next three superbowls in a row!

Where else would you rather be than right here right now?

Wasn't that for losing Vincent and the other former Pro Bowl DB Bobby Taylor, their defensive backfield was depleted?

I think we would get picks next year for losing Williams and Jennings.

and others...the Bills loss of Williams and JJ would apply to comp picks NEXT year.

I'm pretty surprised that Denver is getting 2 3rd rounders. I know they deserve one for Bery Berry, but I didn't think Gold was that good or that he signed for much.

Keep in mind that this is trailing one year...in other words, next year's draft (2006) will be affected by the loss of Jennings and Williams.

This year our award was based on who we lost to free agency last year. They apparently saw the loss of Winfield as being offset by the aquisition of Vincent.
The loss of Reuben offset by the signing of Villariall, etc.

                        I don't see why the Patriots are getting 3 picks. a 3rd, 5th and 7th?

They replaced Big Ted with Keith Traylor. The only big one is Damien Woody and that's worth the 3rd rounder, but why get anything for the other guys? What did they do?

How do they judge how high a pick one should get? And what are we likely to get next year, for the loss of PW and JJ?
