VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- Marian Gaborik scored three goals for his third hat trick of the season and fifth of his career as the Minnesota Wild snapped a five-game winless streak with a 4-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
Gaborik, who missed Friday's practice because of a charley horse Thursday night in Calgary, assumed the league lead in scoring with 18 goals.
Gaborik scored on a pair of wrist shots early in the second period and scored on a lucky bounce in the third.
With the Canucks pressing for a tie, Gaborik redirected Wes Walz's centering pass in the high slot 3:48 into the third. The puck hit a Vancouver defenseman, fluttered high in the air and bounced past a stunned Dan Cloutier.
