Note: I am assuming we make the Henry for Shelton deal
2nd Round:
TE Alex Smith, Stanford
Reasoning:
Smith could be the next dynamic TE in this league which is quickly becoming more orienented in running the offense through the TE. We currently have Soup who is a better blocker then pass catcher and Euhus who looked good but I have my doubts about. Smith is in the similar mode of KC TE Tony Gonzalez who is 6'5 251 and Smith is 6'4 255. Is the most dangerous TE in the open field and some would argue he is a better playmaker than Miller, but is still slightly raw when it comes to blocking.
3rd Round:
DE Demarcus Ware, Troy
Reasoing:
Ware is another one of the "undersized" DE's than alot of teams fear in taking, a recent trend that Freeney has helped to get rid of. Ware is one of the best pure pass rushers in the draft and he is not that undersized as many would have you believe only an inch shorter than Tuck and as tall or taller than D. Cody, Pollack, James, and S. Cody. He could use to add some bulk to his frame only at 247. I think he could be one of the best DE's in the class which is saying alot and I dont think he should be moved to OLB in a 3-4.
4th Round:
OG CJ Brooks, Maryland
Reasoning:
Prolly has some of the most potential among the OG this year. Normally he would of been a top 2 round pick had it not been for some inconsistencies in college. He has good size and one of the best first steps ive seen in this class. Lower-Body strength is his key as he can anchor himself in against the bullrush as well as move quick enough to counter pass rush moves and pull on running plays. He has long arms to create the seperation you like in an OL and he is versatile enough to play OT or OG, but he is a better OG prospect. He needs to improve his upper body strength and his techniques but I have little doubt that McNally could improve that.
5th Round:
RB Darren Sproles, Kansas State
Reasoning:
Has amazing speed and is small so he can hde behind OL and wait for holes to emerge, he is extremely elusive and has great hip movement. He doesnt overpower anybody but he will break arm tackles by CB's. He can turn the corner and is a great open field runner. Can catch out of the backfield although he is not the best blocker. He is currenty working on both his kickoff returns and his punt returns. His size scares people off but I like him for a KR/PR specialist who can make plays as a 3rd down back.
6th Round:
S Junior Rosegreen, Auburn
Reasoining:
Living in Georgia I see about 6 SEC games every saturday and with Auburn going undefeated last season I saw nearly every Auburn Game. This kid has amazing talent and is fearless in the back of the defense. He is versatile too as both a SS or FS, although he is a better SS. Is a huge hitter who is not afraid to sacrifice his body to break up a pass or stop a runner. Dont take him the wrong way though he is also a playmaker and will make interceptions from the safety posistion. Doesnt have amazing speed and can be beaten deep if forced to play alot of man-man defense against a faster WR. Rosegreen plays with a mean streak and will lay players out in his wake (ex. Reggie Brown of Georgia.
7th Round:
C Richie Incognito, Nebraska
Reasoning:
Good size, and has decent skills. He's got a good punch and is able to push piles in the running game. He lacks ideal size (6'3 290) but can back up all three OL posistions. He was kicked off his college team last year for unspecified reasons so he is a risk.
so thats my picks what are yours?
