WR Troy Williamson - South Carolina

Smith isn't getting any younger and Reggie and Troy should make a nice combo for the future with Byron.

Looks like another tough call for the Jags.

They could use a top notch corner, but Fabian Washington, probably the best of the remaining corners, is not worthy of this high a pick. He's good, but you can find similar talent in the 2nd.

They could use a DE, but guys like David Pollack and Matt Roth are guys who are good, not great. Demarcus Ware is an intriguing prospect, but projects better to an OLB in a 3-4 scheme.

They could use another WR, and Troy Williamson is still on the board, but they have just brought in 2 young guys in Reggie Williams and Ernest Wilford (damn him!), so they could look elsewhere.

If I were the GM, I'd look to trade down. But, since there's no trades in this scenario, I'm going to guess that they'll take a flyer on one of the DEs left and go for Demarcus Ware.

          Demarcus Ware

Yeah Washington has all the physical tools you look for in a CB but he is an idiot. It is going to take him along time to adjust to the NFL playbook. He still never learned the Nebraska playbook.

Jags got Hayward in FA, I would be suprised if they drafted a DE this high after that or another WR in the first. CB is where they need help most.

                Fabian Washington, CB, Nebraska---wicked fast!

Ware is a guy who is on the move in mock drafts, but I think the Jags go after another corner to team up with Rashean Mathis. It may be a reach at this point, but they need help there and there's nobody that has fallen that is a better value, other than Williamson who I think will not be taken by Jacksonville.

They go corner and pick Bryant McFadden of Florida State, who is moving up draft boards recently.

Troy Williamson WR. Reggie, Troy, Byron and Fred should be a nice little offensive weapon. I expect them to draft a RB later in the draft as well.

This is a tough call. But I guess, getting a chance at getting Troy Williamson this far down has to be taken. They probably need a CB more, but the top 3 are taken, so they can wait until the 2nd round to take a "2nd rd" level talent CB...the next 6 or so CBs fall into the next level talent. Hopefully one will still be there by the time they come around again.
