The New Orleans Saints on Friday reached a contract agreement with unrestricted free agent Antowain Smith, providing the team with a dependable and still productive veteran backup to starting tailback Deuce McAllister.
This in my opinion is a good signing for New Orleans. I was hoping that Henry would have been traded and Smith would have come as an inexpensive backup who could help wear down opponents. I know some dislike him but he was effective when healthy as long as they did not have him try to follow a block and he had effective blockers. He showed that for Patriots when he ran thru our defenses. I am worried he will do same thing again against us when we play Saints.
