    Posey

He was my pick to have a breakout year last season . He's been average at best. He was supposeddly a poor mans Colvin .Isn't this his last year under contract?

He doesnt get all the hype because he is playing next to two of the best LB's in the NFL.

If he were on another team he might be alittle more of an all star.

Colvin has been a poor man's Colvin for the Pats.

He doesn't get any hype because he doesn't make big plays.

Does he lose games for us? No.

But teams don't have to gameplan for the guy.

He is a solid, but very average LB.

If he were to go down via injury, you would see very little change with a younger player there.

If Posey doesn't step it up this year, we could use an upgrade.

Step it up how? He's a solid player on a team that is a dominating defense. If his salary isn't too high, he's a great piece of this team. We don't have the money to upgrade a position that frankly, doesn't need upgrading.

Im actually starting to be in favor of Stamer myself. I love the guys work ethic and if given the chance I think he could really be somewhat of a force.

                      Just a thought.

Imagine what this D would be like if we had a playmaker at that position. He was brought in because of his ability to rush the passer. Not sure if the system does not allow him to do so.

You can't have an all-pro at every position. As long as the team has playmakers, then a solid player who does his job is exactly what you want.

Posey doesn't get a lot of the credit he deserves. He's not a big stat guy, but if you watch him on Sundays, he does a lot to help the others get big stats. There are so many times that he takes on a block, or more often, turns a play back inside for the other guys to make the tackle. Very disciplined, unselfish player. The problem is that we brought him in as a "pass-rush specialist" but he's not really put into that type of gameplan with us. I'm happy with him, but I must admit that the young guys are very interesting prospects at this point too.

It's extremely, extremely hard to get a lot of stats and tackles on a defense that has Takeo Spikes, London Fletcher, Lawyer Milloy, Antoine Winfield (Posey's first year) and the rest of the Bills defense. Posey has been very solid and while he sometimes gets pushed back a yard or two, rarely gets beat. he is a solid cog on an excellent defense. He also causes a lot of fumbles, more than anyone on the team. And he's also not allowed to rush the passer very much to get sacks, which keep them down. But, for example, he got five sacks in his first year while rushing the passer well less than half the time. Which, for math experts, should tell you something.
