Arizona football player faces drug trial in Illinois

Arizona football player Justin Levasseur will face trial Feb. 3 after he was charged with carrying 87 pounds of marijuana in his car.

A judge Monday also set a pretrial hearing for Jan. 10 for Levasseur and accused accomplice Max Necochea in the felony drug trafficking case.

Levasseur's lawyer, Steven Hanna, said he expects his client to plead innocent. Necochea, 22, of Mission Viejo, Calif., pleaded innocent Monday, said his lawyer, Ed Woller.
