I have a question we all are required to have a 53 man roster lets say someone isnt paying attention and by pick 40 is at the $85 million cap do they forfeit their picks and have to cut players to get under cap so they can have their roster???

I know it's been resolved this time - however, I fail to see why it would be a problem if someone who missed their time (work does call, ya know...) put their pick in ASAP. It's not at all unfair for people drafting after them, because if they had the pick in on time, the exact same number of players are off the board.

Besides, that's exactly how the NFL draft works.

first year is a crap shoot I guess because you dont know how the computer is gonna calculate and use the players you choose with 20 teams using 32 NFL teams starters every team should be pretty strong considering but im sure there are certain matchups the computer looks for and gives the advantage to so it will be interesting to see what those are and adjust in subsequent seasons

I've been like you too. I have been tempted to change my stategy before and actually did in the 2nd round. I wasn't 100% set on Rogers, but i saw the DTs flying, so I snatched him.

C'mon, pmacla. It's too early to count yourself out. MBB has a nice beginning to his defense and got a great WR, but there's still plenty of good players available, one of the reasons I traded down so much to where I have a stockpile of picks in later rounds.

I look at it this way, you cant have a superstar or pro bowl caliber player at every postion so you just have to build with the best you see fit, 2 great corners gives you a luxury of not having to worry about that position again till much much later in draft

By the way... an easy way to tell if someone has been picked or not is by going to R.Rich's Draft Thread, pressing CTRL+F and then typing the person's name in... if there is no matches, then he hasn't been picked.

It's a chance you take, I guess. I took a chance on him being there if I traded down a couple spots, and it didn't work out. Even still, I couldn't pass up MBB's offer of 2 picks in the 8th for my 7th, so I pulled the trigger on that deal before you made your pick. Either way, I wasn't going to get Gates, so no big deal.
