Thx for making that pick for me Rich I appreciate it, and to be honest Im kinda surprised he was still there being a Bill and all but now I got two big bookends who are young and gonna be dominant;

Big Mike Williams RT and Jordan Gross LT

I chose McKinnie w/ my last pick in the 8th, but it was between him and Big Mike.

After how many 9th rounders he has acquired...does Nasty Nights really need an extra $4 million pick at the end? It seems like their team is starting to get built better than others and they also arent shelling out $7.5 million or $10 million to any player. :feedback:

I'm a hustler baby... I also have very few picks in the 15-25 range.

I can't help it if i made a bunch of moves trading to get the team back on track.

i was lucky to find people wanting to move out of this round for cap reasons and took advantage.

It'll all even out, so everyone should relax. Look at it this way: there are 20 teams in this league and we get to stock our teams from the rosters of 32 NFL teams. There's plenty of good players available for everyone. It's all in how you prepare, meaning being wary of the salary cap, ranking players, planning when to make your picks, etc.

Great way to look at it, anyway we dont know how the computer really ranks players in skill positions and how advantagious it is to have a player thats a 9 on defense compared to a 7 first year is trial and error

Oh man. You are definitely making up for lost picks and with those extra $5 million startup picks that you got...you should be fine. Something tells me that this draft will last at least 60 or 70 rounds for all of the teams that need to makeup lost picks that they traded in the 20s, 30s, and 40s.

After the 10th round it will be interesting to watch the trend in selections.

The 9th was all CB's/WR's but I suspect the 10th will be lineman. Most the top tier players are gone, now its about adding quality support.

okay fine. I just feel that for someone who already has a team and their own list...isn't it hard for you to fill out his needs when you gotta watch out for your own needs? I can't see you taking a player that you spotted for your own team, and giving it to him instead. That's my problem. You know what i mean? if he or someone else who didn't have a team were making his picks...there would be some picks where he steals someone that you want for your team. What would you do that to yourself?

So, the next question is...how many rounds do people think that we will go thru? You need to have 53 players on your roster and you need to spend really no more than $81 or $82 million of the cap money, so you have wiggle room for injuries and whatever. So, there will probably be quite a few rounds or $100,000 picks. i just wonder how many and will it just be scrubs available by then? or will people still pick up some starters?

I have to disagree. I'll take a 28 year old RB who's had 5 straight 1000 yard rushing seasons in his prime over a guy who's been in the league for one season, and was injured for a third of it.

Does Jones have upside? Yes, but I wouldn't call him a "steal"

The only thing that matters is the last 1. Jones had over 1000 yards and more YPC then Green and is 6 years younger and does not fumble. We'll see who has the better season in the sim. And he only missed 1 game so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

I would've switched him to the left side. He's an okay edge rusher, but not a great one. He is a pretty good pursuit end, though, which would bode well for him on the left side.

parttimeplayer, it's entirely up to you if you want to submit a list of picks while you're off or if you wait until your slotted time to pick. The list would be appreciated, if you know for a fact that you won't be around at the time of your pick. Otherwise, just keep picking for yourself, as long as you make it before your time runs out.

JESUS!
We have time slots for a reason. Some people (me included) don't want to submit lists because we tend to change our picks based on what position is flying off the board. I prefer to be here myself and if it means that I don't pick 1-2 hours early, and instead pick at my time slot...that's fine. That's the reason we have time slots. :calm:

will witherspoon to play WLB... 100 tackles per year... only 24... 3 sacks and 4 INT's last year. can cover TE's.

still got steve foley... Foley as SLB 10 sacks last year 5 FF's and 2 picks...

I only worry about him playing my 4-3 after really finding his niche in the 3-4 last you a ROLB...

Screw him. If Lindell Sucks comes back I will no longer be in this league. Canadian has done a great job with his team and as far as I'm concerned its his team. I don't want a guy in here that doesn't live up to his responsibilities. If he does come back and takes over his team I won't be a part of the league. Well, ya know, the draft was intended to take more than a month to complete. Eb set it up very well, and it offends me when one or two guys (not you) take it upon themselves to act like the draft should be run a different way and make it miserable for those of us who are trying to enjoy this. If Canadian'oh wants to draft 53 players in a week, he's in the wrong league. :peace:

That's the thing.... most of us were here, checked in early, or submit a list for 5-10 players for our pick ahead fo time because we know that we don't neccesarily have to stick to the time slot.

We keep getting ahead of the slots by 2-3 hours only getting stopped when somone waits until the last minute oft heir time slot.... kind of frustrating to everyone else who got the draft moving along nicely.

If you want to wait for you time slot every time then go ahead.... you are free to do so. Just thought you might want to have some curtosy for the other owners who end up waiting 2-3 hours for you to make your pick.

If you want to wait for you time slot every time then go ahead.... you are free to do so. Just thought you might want to have some curtosy for the other owners who end up waiting 2-3 hours for you to make your pick.

curtosy?? wth is that? not that you'd know anything about courtesy.

and btw....i have made most of my picks early, i have not waited for my time slot, so what exactly is your problem?

I should ask what your problem is then.... If you normally make your picks early then there IS no problem.

Seriously, I just don't understand being called out like that for missing one time slot (Thursday evening). I guess a girl is just expected to give up her social life and rush home to the computer to make a pick even when she really needs a drink after a bad day at work, eh? My bad. Won't happen again.

I'm not arguing.... I am in a bad mood due to lack of sleep...

i was just trying to suggest we ALL give a list of a couple picks so if we get on the clock and one of our top 5 guys is there they can just make the pick for us and move on..... otherwise, forget i said anything.

feel free to correct my grammer... i'm too tired to bother.

Devin.... I don't think this is my pick.... 12:45 - 1:00 Canadian Radiation Kings

I have the current pick (#9) and #11 from retroraiders but not that later one... at least i don't think... i believe that may still belong to retroraiders..... can you double check that?

No problem. Good suggestion, actually, even for those of us who prefer to make our own picks. Hopefully work stress will ease up for both of us soon.

ok...just checking in. I will make my pick soon.

One thing everybody needs to understand. We are trying the best we can. Devin and R. Rich have done an incredible job helping me out over the draft. Everybody is human and everybody is busy. Patience is the key here. Don't forget, once the draft is done I have to load all this stuff into the game. That will take a while in itself. We will get there. Once everything is ready to go all you have to do once a week is give me a lineup and then I sim the games. This is suppose to be the fun part of the league. Enjoy the ride. If anything, as I turn 40 today, the one thing I've learned is that it can be just as much or even more fun to do it once AND take all night than to take all night to do it once. :naughty:
