Frank Gore scored a 6. Miami doesn't raise academic scholars. They breed football players.

Roscoe Parrish still has one year of eligibility left at Miami, but he has decided to enter the draft a year early. At 5’9”, 170lbs, Parrish lacks ideal size for a starting receiver in the NFL. He gets a quick release off the line and is able to secure most catchable passes, although he does have a tendency to catch the ball with his body rather than his hands at times. He has great speed (4.40 in the 40) and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He adjusts well to poorly thrown passes and he isn’t afraid to go over the middle and make a tough catch in traffic. Parrish was not only a very good receiver at Miami, but an outstanding return specialist as well. His size is what concerns you the most—you have to wonder if he is going to be able to hold up over a 16 game schedule in the NFL and he will struggle against larger defensive backs if he doesn’t outrun them. He will never be a true #1 receiver in the NFL but he has the ability to contribute immediately as a return specialist and he could develop into a good slot receiver in time. He could be a mid-round pick for a team looking for a player to stretch the field and return kicks.

        2002: 19 REC 340 YDS 2 TD
        2003: 24 REC 322 YDS 2 TD
        2004: 43 REC 693 YDS 8 TD
his numbers are nothing special. why all the hype?

nothing like spending a high draft pick on a guy that will never be anything more than a number 3 wr.. IF his petite frame can hold up.

i want to like this kid... but i just dont get it.. we have a great returner right now.. in mcgee.. we have plenty of wrs.. he was NOT considered a "VALUE" pick.. he was not expected to go this early.. we could have got him in the 3rd at least.

Throw him the damn ball and watch him run. How much intelligence does that require?

                  Santana Moss... Miami 2001... 5'10".. 167 lbs... 4.37 40

                  Roscoe Parrish ... Miami 2005... 5'9".. 168 lbs... 4.37 40

I don't think that his size has to be that big of an issue. i am optimistic about Roscoe

He's a receiver ... I could care less if he were even to dumb to count to 10, let alone score a 10 on the wonderlic. If he were a C, MLB, S, QB or something like that, I'd be concerned, but he's a receiver.

Plus, I haven't heard him speak or anything at all ... I'd like to hear an interview with him before I label him as stupid.

How smart do you have to be to run fast and catch the ball? This post isn't too smart!

I heard him on Sirius Satelite Radio last week.

Based leaving college on his conversations with ex- Misami recievers in NFL. Listening to him I got the impression he should have stayed and improved his draft stock. But then again I pegged him as a 4th rounder.

I don't have a problem w/ this guy, but we could of had him later. Also the likes of Terrance Murphy and Roby were still available, why didn't we take either of them?

P.S. Could some just forget the rules just this once and post the ESPN Insider Bio on this guy?

I don't care what his Wonderlic score is since he seems adept at running routes, catching the ball, and reading defenses.

He wouldn't be at Miami if he didn't have essential football skills.
