    Buffalo's Top Notch Backfield

I can't believe that so many are complaining that Travis Henry is still here. If he is not moved we will have perhaps the best RB tandem in the league. He is under contract, a contract that pays him more money than most of us will see in the next thirty years of our lives. Poor Travis, let's have a pity party, awwwwwww.

TD obviously wasn't seeing the value in the offers that were made. Something wasn't right with Shelton and they saw it. Buffalo essentially has two GM's and Modrak is a premiere talent evaluator. Let them do their job and give it a break.

What does he have to gain by not reporting? He can be a backup here or be a backup somewhere else. If he sits, all that does is drop him further off the radar screen.

The thought of that is just stupid for Travis. There is no way he can sit out an entire year and think he can come back and be an effective back in this league. I have said it before that I wouldn't be suprised if Henry is back next year, eats some humble pie, and signs with the Bills again as the backup. It is obvious nobody really wanted him this time, what makes him think he will be able to find a team that wants him after next year if he sits out the year. He has already been out for half of last season.

Henry obviously waaaaaaaaay overestimated his value to NFL teams. It's time for him to eat some humble pie, come back to Buffalo and hope for the best.

              Dear TH's Agent:

What you have to lose by holding out:
              -- TH's salary.
-- TH's reputation among other teams.
              -- TH's football shape.

What you have to gain by holding out:
              -- Personal vengeance.

              Make the smart choice!

He will be a cancer on this team and that is never good. TD blew it by holding out for too much. It's not about his talent or if he can play, it's about him sitting on the bench (if he reports) and doing nothing for us. Doesn't make sense.

I think Travis is learning that he is not quite as marketable as he thought. Buffalo gave him and his agent every opportunity to explore the market. No one would even give up a third for him. There are 1.5 million reasons why he will show up and keep his mouth shut. Buffalo will use him 7-10 times a game and he will keep Willis fresh. Amazing the number of people that think having TH here is a bad thing.

Not only does TH serve as a breather to Willis. But if a team's RB goes down before the season they might be desperate enough to trade for TH either for a player or a pick next year.
