What if TH is a Bill for the entire 2005 season?

    Pros:

-TH is in the final year of a contract, and players miraculously have good years on final years of a contract. (Remember Marcellus Wiley and Peerless Price?)

-With a first year QB, having two power RBs that can move the chains is definately a good thing.

-WM is only two years removed from a serious knee injury. In addition, with his running style he's going to take alot of hits. I remember my heart sinking against the Bengals when WM went down before halftime holding his leg. I dont think anyone would be happy with Shaud Williams as starting RB if McGahee gets injured.

    Cons:

    -No Shelton and/or extra pick.

-There may be a locker room issue if TH is still unhappy.

-TH might not show up at all this year. (He'd be an idiot if he didn't.)

That's just my take. I think if TH isn't traded, he's going to come in and give a maximum effort whenever he gets the chance to perform.

Pro - a team gets an injury to their startin RB in pre-season and his value skyrockets again

I like the idea of having Henry backing up McGahee, but I just think this situation is a mess. And given that we have huge needs at DT and OL, I'm frustrated that TD couldn't work something out with Henry to improve one of those positions.

Remember last year? The Dolphins were looking for a RB after Ricky retired and gave a third round pick for Lamar Gordon out of desperation. If a starting RB goes down in training camp, I think the Bills might be able to get a 2nd in the 2006 draft for TH.

There is absolutely, unequivocably, 100% no chance of this happening unless Henry's agent agrees to give him 1.5 mill. to sit, which won't happen.

At this point it looks like TH will be a Bill for 2005 and this may be a good thing....He is a very good RB that is not costly. After next season, we can at least get a compensatory pick. We should not trade him if we do not get value.

As long as Travis shows up and doesn't ***** constantly, which are no sure things...I'm fine with him as a Bill next season. I've always felt that RB is one position where you need good depth, and even more so considering we have essentially a rookie QB.
