Your beloved cable company could cause the Sabres to leave Buffalo. Everyone needs to send a message to Adelphia, and let them know they will lose a lot more than 150 million if they stop this sale.
Adelphia is responible for all this debt, and now are holding up the sale.
Cancel your cable TV, let them knoiw there will be hell to pay.

Call me up when you're paying a cable company for your cable TV who ripped your hockey team out of your city.

So you want everybody to boycott Adelphia, yet you are not willing to make the sacrefice yourself?

Ghandi didn't protest British imperialism by telling other people to fast and conduct sit ins.

Nonsense-

This is a typical business transaction that will lead to facilitating the sale of the Sabres. Stop your "sky is falling" BS.

When we moved I cut the cable. I've got satellite now. Adelphia does anything to jeopardize the Sabres moving and they'll cut their own throat. Empire is the only channel they can hold over people's heads.

Maybe the title should have read "THREATEN" to boycott Adelphia. I didn't want to tip my hat so soon.

Hm, ok..........I expected the article to be in the bankruptcy thread. You know, it's kinda hard to have a discussion about something when no one posts a link to the information so that we can all read it.

NHL Might Declare Sabres Bankrupt (http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20021213/1042520.asp) ... from The Buffalo News 12-13-02

The National Hockey League may be forced to seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection soon for the troubled Buffalo Sabres franchise.
While one source close to the situation said a filing could come as early as Monday, other sources questioned that timetable and said behind-the-scenes negotiations are being conducted to avoid bankruptcy.

It is believed the NHL is working closely with Adelphia and its creditors' committee regarding the Chapter 11 filing. The filing may be necessary to separate the Sabres' financial dealings from the larger Adelphia Communication Corp.'s bankruptcy mess.

File Bankruptcy
Let Hamister and Co. But it Cheapper that what adelpia offered.

get Good Draft Picks.

And Whoop Ass Next Season, This Season is damn near impossible to make the playoffs. like a 30 game winning streak might. but thats not lindy ruffs style. why we're at fire him as well and get a coach with at least 2 stanley cup rings to weigh down his hands. Lindy's Hand is Making too many line changes for no apparent reason.

Like I stated in another thread. If the Sabres file bankruptcy there is a very good chance the courts will open up the bidding again because part of there responsibility is to get the most pennies on the dollar back to the sabres creditors (mostly Adelphia). If someone else like Paul Allen comes in with a higher bid and wants to move the team to Washington then there is nothing we can do... I am no lawyer but I have followed companies that filed chapter 11 and opening up the bidding again could very likely happen.

Yes, I agree Adelphia, which is looking out for it's own interests could very well screw Buffalo and the fans of the Sabres everywhere.
