Idiot media with the post draft analysis

You know what continues to irritate me about hearing / reading post draft grades and comments about the Bills drafts every year? It's tht 3/4 ths of the clowns doing it have no idea what is going on in Buffalo. It's like they read a list of who left, then read a list of who was drafted, and make their "analysis" off of that.

What they continue to do is fail to see what the Bills have done in previous drafts. They fail to realize that Tom Donahoe does not replace his losses in the following draft- he has the forsight to replace his losses in the previous draft!

Look at last year's draft. We Drafted a franchise WR, a franchise QB, a TE, a DT, and an OT.

This offseason, we lost a QB, a DT, an OT, and might lose a franchise WR with an $11 million cap hit in 2006. See the friggin correlation???????

TD has had a history of doing this. But assclowns with a typewriter have to fill pages, and don't want to be bothered researching it.

Roscoe Parrish scored higher on his SAT's than most of those guys.

Since when is accurate reporting (or opinion making) a requirement to post an analysis on a team? Some media sources have 2 year old rosters.

I generally agree Dozer. His train of thought is to have guys in the works already, anticipating possible moves later on. However, Tom Donahoe RIGHT NOW looks pretty bad. This team has missed the playoffs 4 straight years under his command, brought in an unproven head coach who bombed and was subsequently let go, brought in a franchise quarterback who underachieved and was cut, and is sitting in year five with a very tenuous-at-best offensive line situation, an unproven quarterback being handed the keys to the offense, and losses at LT and DT. In addition he had offers (maybe not what he wanted) to get rid of Travis Henry, and didn't pull the trigger. I'm willing to still have faith and hope that some additional moves can be made, but it's hard to deny that Tom Donahoe doesn't look too good right now.

Sometimes you have to take a step back from the situation and look at something very generally, and I think that's what most people are seeing right now. Maybe things will pan out great, we'll see, but the reason TD is getting heat right now is no mystery.

Just as a "for instance," Mark Weiler is part of the media. 'Nough said?
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

BTW...I read in Sporting News or something that this was not the draft to get your OTs. Next year is one of the strongest OT drafts in a while. I wonder if we'll draft our starting LT of the future next April then.

u know what cracks me up about draft day grade is that they are guessing games u know at this time every year what these idiot writers should do is...
take their draft grades from the last 4-5 years then man up and admit what fools or geniuses they are when that grade can be looked at. for example many places had bills 2003 draft graded in the C's becuz we drafted mcgahee when we had willis what grade would they give now. considering mcgahee is starter and avged almost 100 a game in his starts and that kelsey is now the starter at LDE on the #2 d in the league. we also had a ton of C's last year evans was arguably one of the top rookie wr's and we still dont know about losman so how can a grade be given evans is the #2 wr now so WHAT IS HE AN A+ now and losman too no one knows so when u read these comments by people who are writers not true football men just chuckle a little. becuz for every A they have given on draft day thats been an F and for every C they have given they have been wrong then too!

Obviously Draft grades are based on projections. How did the team fill it's needs OR how did the team improve itself overall? You only know what you know.

Baas was rated higher then Duke. If Duke ends up being a much better player than Baas that doesn't mean the 49ers were wrong for not selecting Duke (though a WR might have been a better pick for them).

Draft grades get revised every year. As of now 2005 gets a C-, because they could have addressed more pressing needs in Rds 2/3. Don't give that "select the best player available" BS. By that logic you could draft a QB in the first round every year. That would be dumb. Teams should select "best player available in a need positon."

In two years it might become obvious that the players taken after Parrish, especially the lineman were busts. If Parrish excels in that instance, the draft grade increases.

I agree with you to a point. Yes TD does plan for the future, but he's never planning for the now. Since he's been here how many times have the Bills made the playoffs? Also, who gives a rats ars about draft grades a day after it ends? You cant grade a draft for atleast 3 years.
