My draft analogy:
Picture if you will...soldiers in trenches on the front line of a war. They know that not far away the enemy army is preparing to attack. The soldiers in the trenches are very low on ammo and they are running low on rations. Resupply arrives. It contains enough rations for a week, but very little ammo.
Some soldiers *****. "What good is food, when they are overrun?"
Other soldiers are happy that they won't go hungry. "Maybe more ammo or better yet, reinforcements will arrive before the attack" they say.
That night the enemy attacks. The valient soldiers repel wave after wave of the attacking horde until parts of the trenchline run out of ammo and are overrun. There are no survivors.
The ammo represents the Oline picks alot of fans wanted. The rations represent the somewhat useful picks made by the Bills, which ultimately are not useful enough for mission accomplishment (making the playoffs.)
