"I think I've got to have the best year of my career," Reed said. "Whether it's special teams, blocking or catching passes, I've got to be prepared to do whatever I have to do to help this team."

The best year of his career still wouldn't be anything spectacular.

This shows that Reed is a team player. Its always good to have guys that put the team first.

I for one am rooting for Reed to have a breakout year this year, whether it be starting on the offense or an important role player. I still want to see him succeed.

He was decent his rookie year.

Reed stinks. I'd be shocked if he is even on the opening day roster at this point...

I knew it, it was all Drew's fault

Of course he wants to have a good year. His contract is up after this season.

I guess it only took two consecutive years of using our highest draft pick on WR's to light a fire under his ass. If he doesn't have a good season, he's going to end up playing ST in the CFL.

It would be nice to have that '02 2nd round pick finally pan out. I'm not holding my breath, but if the other 3 flyers can make plays, it COULD open up some underneath possession routes for Reed. We'll see...

Best year of his career? That wouldn't be that hard for him to do.....

With JP behind center I think his stats will improve.

He'd still have to actually catch the ball.

Watch him have a great year then leave Buffalo. If he finally has a breakout year - and catches the ball well - he won't be sticking around for a #3/4 WR job with the Bills.

And if he sucks again he won't get resigned.

Either way, don't make a longterm investment in a Josh Reed jersey.

I like Reed, and have always thought that IF he lived up to his potential he could be a great 3rd man and a dangerous weapon. Unfortunatley he never has, but either way hes a team guy and all we can hope for is for him to have a great year.

Parrish is already better and he hasn't played an NFL snap. Aiken probably plans to have "the best year of his career" too. :drool2:

Wow, took the words away from me.

Slow, drops the ball, and I think he is a bit demotivated upstairs. I don't ever think he has given it his all.
He's just crusin.

I used to like Reed, but i will always remeber him for one play. For the life of me i can't remeber who we were playing, but it was a flea flicker. Reed was wide open. No one in sight, the pass was perfect from Bledsoe, and he just dropped it. It bounced right off his hands. I just remeber sitting their in shock.

Now i want to send him a motorcycle:tricycle:

Opening day, 2003, against the Pats.....

opening day against the pats.. and bledsoe BADLY underthrew it, so much so that reed had to stop and turn around and backpedal while waiting for it..

but yeah.. he should have caught it... and just dropped it.. but bledsoe botched that throw horribly too..

The problem is, Reed always looks spectacular in camp, but it hasn't really translated to the regular season. If he has another great camp, will the Bills believe he can finally do it when it counts? How can you cut a guy who is so good in camp?

reed is the best 4th receiver in the league!

Because its camp, real game speed is much higher, when your not catching the ball and running with your friends.

Right now he's the best number four. With a million dollar price tag. If he doesn't show improvement then he will be the best freeagent who is short, slow and has bad hands.
