WIVB CH. 4 in Buffalo is reporting that Joe Ferguson (Bills QB in the 70s) has a treatable form of lymphoma. Ferguson is receiving treatment at the Anderson Center in Houston.

That was all the details.

Wow...How sad...Prayers are with you Joe...Just think of all the bad things that happened to my favorite Bills players that I grew up watching...
Fergy has cancer, Jim Braxton & Bobby Chandler died, OJ is a murderer...How depressing...

I don't remember Bobby Chandler passing away. :ill:

I know I got pretty sick when Joe threw that pick in San Diego. :wail:

When I think of Joe Ferguson, I think of a guy who was talented, but he got down on himself so quickly. Hanging his head as he walked off the field. :::

The one game where he finally showed some guts was that San Diego game, where he had a badly sprained ankle.

i wish that chin got sprained so he wouldn't have dragged it so much.

Was that while playing with a severely sprained ankle? Another game we could have/should have won.

Oh, I'm pulling for him.

Anybody remember the MNF game at Rich against the Raiders, where OJ got hurt and the Bills actually had to throw the ball? Joe brought them from way back. One of the few Raider MNF losses.

Having been watching my brother-in-law battle intestinal cancer for the last six months, I pray that God will grant Joe Ferguson everything that he requires to overcome and defeat this horrible disease and give his family and friends the strength, determination and compassion that they will need to have to help Joe through this extremely difficult time.

Let me second those who have already refered to Joe Ferguson as one of the most underrated and underappreciated Bills of all time. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with him a few times during the brief time that I worked for the team and he, like Bob Chandler, was always extremely nice to everyone. As a Bill, he was a class act and is a good human being and I can only hope and pray, as we all do, that he will be able to withstand this challenge, beat his cancer and make a full and complete recovery.

Our prayers are with you, Joe! Get well soon!!!

I don't think it was on TV.

Welcome to the zone.

I always liked the guy and thought he was unfairly criticized.
