This guy is a keeper that we picked up this year. I think we signed him for 3 or 4 years. I don't know if he's a starter but he is well worth the million or so a year we're paying for him.
Can he play guard? If so he could maybe scare Rueben Brown into a paycut. I like Rueben and he does a great job for us but he has a huge contract and will not be worth that money in a couple years. It would be nice if he would pony up a little cash to help with extensions of some younger players so we can keep the core together.
If Brown wants another Superbowl run he has his best chance now. He has 3 good years left in him. But he's making a ton of money.
