Throwback Jersey In Opener: The Bills are expected to use their new throwback jersey on opening day and during one unspecified road game this year. The jersey will be unveiled on June 4th, during the Celebrations of Champions festivites. The celebration will honor the 1964-65 AFL Championship teams and the 1990 Super Bowl team. Many former players are expected to attend including Steve Tasker who will host the comeback game showing. Jim Kelly, Jack Kemp, Kent Hull, Andre Reed, and Paul Maguire are also schedule to take part in the event.

Celebrations Of Champions Weekend: The Buffalo News is reporting that this morning's press conference will entail the announcement of a Celebration of Champions week that will run from June 2nd through June 5th. It will entail a carnival on all days in the stadium parking lot. The comeback game will be shown on the stadium scoreboard on the 3rd at 7pm. The annual select-a-seat day will take place on the 4th in the morning followed by a Kim Mitchell concert as part of the unveiling of the throwback jersey. We will have more on this event after the Bills make their official announcement this morning."

Yeah, Its marketing contracts stuff like that. Thats why Sandiego only wears Powder blue once a year.

are throwback jerseys and alternate jerseys the same thing? I would think for throwback, the NFL would want 2 games- one home and one away- so they could market both styles of the jersey.

Agreed- I like the old white helmets with the standing buffalo on them (even though I'm too young to remember when they actually work them).

I don't really like the white helmets with the current logo (I think they wore them in the early 80's briefly).

Seems they are just going with alternates. The throwback would require a helmet change which most teams dont like to do.
