Damn, I was hoping that we would have done a round a day, because there was only 8 rounds. I hate having to turn in lists and can almost never make the afternoon rounds.

Oh well, it will only be 4 days. That's not bad.

Keep in mind the #1 overall is on the market. I will be seeking a 1 and a 2.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
      It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Eb.... i may be wrong but I think i read that our rookie pool can have 10 players.....

Seeing as the draft is only 8 rounds... will we get a chance to fill all 10 spots with URFA's after the draft is over?

I think it means that you can have up to 10 rookies.

ok...let me clarify that...you can acquire as many rookie selections as you want (I have 11). You must cut that number down to 10 before the regular season begins. If you have less than 10 then you stay with less. There are no undrafted free agent picks. Sorry. They rarely make a team and are too hard to track. They will be available next year if they make a team.

on 5/1/05 @2:25 post #168 in the trade thread:

Bushwhackers send their 22nd round pick (5th overall) and their 2nd round rookie pick to the Rejects for their 21st round pick and 4th round rookie pick.

WTF were you thinking? you moved down 2 rounds in the rookie to move up about 20 spots?

Sometimes if there is a player you like you pay the price to move up. I guess he liked Jason Davis. Rejects took Umenyiora who was a sleeper in the 22nd round according to my analysis.

Tell you what, after the season, ask me how I felt about taking Davis. He's better than any rookie I would've gotten in round 2.

I moved down three spots and picked up a 3rd. I should still get who I want at #4. Also teams in the market for Alex Smith.... keep in mind I have Phil Rivers at a much cheaper price tag. Only 300k.

I don't know if I'll look to trade down from the #2 spot. I have a player in mind, and if that player is gone, then I might look to trade down.

Possibly but I think his point was that you gave up another pick (Umenyiora) and lost a 2nd round rookie pick and just got a 4th round rookie pick back.
