Sabres have a chance a Sydney Crosby?

Somone just told me that the NHL draft might be based on team success for the past 4 seasons. Since the Sabres haven't been there in four years, they have the second highest chance next to the Rangers.

      NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!...

Although I would prefer Buffalo to a place lIke Atlanta or Carolina.... I am really hoping Sydney gets to stay in Canada..... we could really use our next Big star to play here.... Hasn't beent hat way since Gretz played for Edmonton. You could count Iginla i guess.... but I think Syd is gonna be an all time great... would great in a HABS uni.

Leafs are going to sign him to a contract with the Baby Leafs if there's no draft, he will become their property when that happens.

No, then why don't more kids just sign with "Baby teams" that they want to play for. Just because he signs with Junior Leafs doesn't mean he is the Leafs property.

But if there's no draft and he signs with the baby Leafs, why wouldn't he be the Leafs' property?

No... moron.... the other NHL teams would NEVER allow this. He HAS to got through a draft at some point. it's too bad we didn't get so see a season where the bottom 3 teams are all TRYING to lose games and get Syd.

IF there is no season again, you will see Syd either go back to Jrs or MORE likely he will take a contract in Europe.

Outside the Lines did a special on this. Teams are arguing over how they will hold the draft if there is one. They should have ping pong draw in what order teams should draft.

They should worry about the CBA and only the CBA right now. A draft means dittely if there's no hockey.
