Anyone ever hear of George Miller? He's a Buffalo area Christian gospel singer. He does programs and a lot of Buffalo area churches, big and small. He's been on the local Christian television station etc. Admittedly his music appeals more to the gray haired set than to a younger audience. He came to our church for a program today. He knows I sing, so he invited me to sing the closing song with him, "People Need the Lord." That's always a lot of fun. I still have a bit of entertainer in me.

Hmm I have never heard of him but I haven't been to church in like 14 years either. You should talk to Cher. He has quite a set of pipes on him.

Me too. It's kind of funny. That's where I started. My voice changed in 7th grade and I joined the senior choir in 8th grade. I was one of two tenors. The other fellow died a couple years later leaving me the only tenor. I figured I might as well either sing out or quit because if I didn't sing out loud no one would ever hear me. I've been in chamber groups and mass choirs since then. So now, I'm back singing in a church choir, and I'm usually the onlhy tenor. Since I preach too, it's pretty much a given that I'll be there. LOL

I have a loud voice and I once went Christmas Caroling with my church group. When they heard me they asked me to join the choir and asked several times after that. One day I finally decided to try it. There were three other guys and one of them a base, which is what I am closer to in voice. Shortly after we got a new choir director who puts us in all kinds of things. I have done plays, and musical things doing some solos (something I would never have thought possible). Right now I just do it once in a while since my wife works Sundays and my kids want their dad to be with them.

Cool. Keep up the good work, man. We need a couple more guys to form the BZ quartet.
