DON’T GET ME STARTED was a little surprised that the University of Tulsa would be coming after one of the Buffalo Bills assistants but with the success that Drew Bledsoe has had this season, quarterbacks coach Steve Kragthorpe has been targeted for a coaching job.

It would behoove the Bills to carefully select a new QB coach if and when Krathorpe begins singing Ohhhhhhklahoma. The Bills should not make the mistakes they have been making in the past like, let’s say, Turk Schonert and others who simply drew a pay check.

There’s one guy that would probably excite offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride if he would accept the job as quarterbacks coach. Lately, he’s been seen on the sidelines at Bills games rooting for the team he led to four straight Super Bowls.

It is Jim Kelly.

Certainly, working with Gilbride and Drew Bledsoe it would result in a perfect marriage. No one knows the Bills; no one knows the division; no one knows the AFC and no one knows the NFL better than Jim Kelly.

Not only could he be helping Bledsoe on the sidelines, but he could be helping Kevin Gilbride in developing an offense that would bring back the glory days of the early 90s. Jim Kelly would be an ideal fit for the Bills. He has the knowledge; the experience and – more importantly – the love of the owner of the Bills, Ralph Wilson.

Bledsoe has always stated that Kelly was his hero. Jimbo is a Hall-of-Famer. He got there because he knew what he was doing. The combo of Gilbride-Kelly-Bledsoe-Van Pelt would have the same success as a former Bona QB and coach had – Ted Marchibroda....MORE... I alwasy thought that Jim would be a great QB coach, not a head coach or offensive cord. I dont think though we will see him coach though. With him being so close to his family, and wanting to be with Hunter i think that Jim will continue to be the bills #1 fan

Jim would make an excellent QB coach for the Bills. Drew and Jim have very similar styles. I love this idea.

Really not my thing right now, guys. I have too many other responsibilities. My hero takes up time in my life and coaching wouldn't give me the time I want and need to spend with him or my daughters or Jill.

....one more for the team! They truly need you now. Besides, you won't be taking any hits.

I don't know...as nice as it would be to have the legendary Jim Kelly as a QB coach, Hunter should take priority

I agree 100% Phil...Didn't Kelly stop working at ESPN because of Hunter?

I know....and hopefully, Kelly won't have the opportunity to coach for many years.

it would be nice but Hunter comes first.
