[W]e are busy that we may have leisure, and make war that we may live in peace...

[F]or no one chooses to be at war, or provokes war, for the sake of being at war; any one would seem absolutely murderous if he were to make enemies of his friends in order to bring about battle and slaughter...

Tragedy..I wish he would've just stayed in the League as SS, earned alot of $$ and had a family then retired.

It’s such a shame that the government lied to his family and the whole country. He is a role model regardless of the circumstances of his death.

          Well put.

And, as we remember those who have died for our country, please let us not forget to also show our gratitude to those who have been wounded and, as a result, have had to live with and, at times, struggle through a constant and often debilitating reminder of what they, too, have sacrificed as well. I know that they are all going to Heaven, because they've all already been to Hell....
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

God bless all of our brave soldiers, many of whom make the supreme sacrifice so that all of us will remain free.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Now that Memorial Day is over,

What we need is more Presidents like this:

                              and less like this:

[W]e are busy that we may have leisure, and make war that we may live in peace...

[F]or no one chooses to be at war, or provokes war, for the sake of being at war; any one would seem absolutely murderous if he were to make enemies of his friends in order to bring about battle and slaughter...
