Attendance is piss-poor in other NHL cities, too.

The Panthers announced a crowd of 12,444 for their 2-2 tie against the Leafs Wednesday but the actual number probably was 9,000. That wasn't as bad as the 10,008 fans the Thrashers alleged were at their 1-0 victory over the Leafs on Monday. A throng of 6,000 would have been closer to the truth.

Eb & I are going to the Sabres game tonight.

Maybe they'll have a "Going out of business" sale on the merchandise?

I've actually heard recently from various sources, most recently from one of the intermission announcers on HNIC (can't remember which one), that Rigas didn't steal a dime from the Sabres, they were actually losing money with them ... its only because he was stealing from other areas that he was able to keep the team afloat.
