    Bills’ defense goes flabby when foes reach red zone

    Taking a look at the Buffalo Bills this season, one is tempted to say that the team’s red zone has become a giant red carpet that welcomes opponents into its end zone.

    While that’s an exaggeration, Buffalo, more than any other NFL team, nevertheless has allowed its competition to finish off a visit to its red zone with a touchdown.

    Opponents have ventured within the Bills’ 20-yard line 45 times. Thirty-three of those excursions — 73.3 percent — have resulted in touchdowns.

    Tennessee, the next worst team in this area, is giving up touchdowns at a 66.7 percent clip.
