    Tribute to past brings hope for future

    Goose bumps sprouted on Billy Shaw's meaty, 67-year-old arms. As J.P. Losman, Troy Vincent and several other current Bills modeled the same style uniforms Shaw and his teammates wore while winning the American Football League championship in 1965, the Pro Football Hall of Fame guard couldn't help but feel like a Boy of Autumn once more.

    The thing that really struck a nostalgic chord with Shaw and many of the fans in the stands was the return of the white helmet with the red, grazing buffalo on the sides.

      The white helmets with the standing buffalo are the best part of the whole look.
      Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
