... . Third-string quarterback Travis Brown had a nice day against the Browns (9 of 11, 103 yards, 1 touchdown) and should get the bulk of the work against the Bengals on Friday.

(from the D&C)

I hope the fans at RWS get tosee more than 1 or 2 drives out of Bledsoe... it would be quite a tease

I would take no chances with Drew now, especially with the dinged up line. He better not play more than 2 series.

He looked good in the scrimmage. Not only the passes he completed, but the ones he didn't (he knew when to throw the ball away!). He was confident and poised.

I won't be surprised if Brown passes AVP on the depth chart by the start of the season. He looks good. His arm sure seems a lot stronger than AVP's.

AVP looked like puss. I know he is a fan favorite, but he looked worse than anything.

I am NO way one of those people who think that Travis Brown should have been our QB this year. I'm also not ready to anoint him the QB of the Future after a good performance in a scrimmage. But I will say that I've never been high on AVP and I think that AVP only had a good year because of the WCO........So in saying that, I think TB should be number 2 this year. Put AVP at 3. We shouldn't have given him all that money.

Um, now you owe me a quarter, Patrick! And I plan on collecting when I see you. ;)

Travis looked very poised on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if TD cuts AVP because his salary is WAY too high for a 3rd stringer.

Maybe LOG. Lets see what happens in the pre-season games with real game situations.

right. my comments were contingent on travis brown winning the backup job. :D

Unless you have an experienced backup in mind, AVP ain't going anywhere

no doubt, Dozer...AVP is proven...Travis Brown may eventually be good but he hasn't proven anything

I agree bro, it's great that Travis is looking good, but he's no AVP.
We're going to need a good backup for the future, and it's great to see one progressing so well, and to learn the Bills way of doing it right baby! I feel real good with AVP in there, we're blessed to have him here, he's willing to be a backup, something not common in the NFL. He's a real TEAM player, and I ADMIRE him for that. Who will ever forget Frank Reich, a very important part of the TEAM! Let's hope Brown carry's on the tradition!

AVP isn't that expensive. He's not going anywhere. McDaniel, Ostrowski, and JR will be the ones to go.

I didn't know Randy Travis could play? I though that the only string he can play is his 6 string geetar.

avp is here for this year. next year is a different story.
of course avp doesn't mind being a backup, he was on the streets two years ago fiquring his career was over.
patrick you owe jaded a quarter and jaded you owe patrick a bite.
