Shockey "fired" from local radio show

Jeremy Shockey made headlines earlier this season for comments he made through the media. On Thursday, he received more attention, but this time, he didn't even say a word.
The Giants tight end did not call in for his weekly radio appearance on WFAN for the second time in two months, and hosts Mike Francesa and Chris Russo responded by calling him "unprofessional" and firing him from the show.
According to a report in the New York Daily News, Shockey, who receives $1,000 for the weekly spot, was scheduled to appear at 4 p.m. ET, but called 15 minutes late and never went on the air. ....more

I hate Mike Francesa and Chris Russo. ESPN radio is much better!

I've seen a few interviews with Shockey dating back to college...The guy appears to be a primo jerk.
