Dec. 17, 2002) -- With two weeks left in the regular season, teams that have already clinched playoff spots are now jockeying for home-field advantage in the postseason. And if you think all the talk about being home for the playoffs is a little much, it's not. Home-field advantage is not overrated. You can't say enough about it.
When you're at home and don't have to travel, you can sleep in your own bed all week and eat the foods normally prepared for you. Everything is convenient for you, as opposed to the team that has to travel a day or two ahead of time. It may not guarantee it, but I think winning that game against Houston would never have happened had we played in the Astrodome.
