Confession and apology

Admins, mods, fellow members and most especially footballhottie;

As some of you are already aware, I was the a-hole that attempted to access footballhottie's account here at the BZ. My intentions were not malicious. I had a funny idea, attempted to access her account (a couple times ), which is probably why you were locked out, and failed. I thought I might have known her password but was wrong. After just a couple of attempts, I gave up from there. For this I would like to apologize for my unethical behaviour. It seemed to be a good idea at the time, funny and harmless enough, but what has manifested from there is not funny nor harmless. It is an amazing invasion of privacy. I believe what I started was finished by another. Perhaps from this board, perhaps not.

Footballhottie, I was wrong and I wholeheartedly apologize.

I would also like to apologize to the members of this board, as well as to the staff for whom I have stirred unecessary heated contention.

Now, I'd like to clear my name of any other allegations. I am not a hacker. I do not posses the abilities or knowledge to successfully hack another persons personal information. I did not attempt access footballhottie's Yahoo account. I did not attempt nor succeed at attemnpting to access any other of her accounts, nor anyone else's account for that matter. Whoever did such a thing acted on their own seperate accord. It's no more than a coincidence that this other aweful thing happened about the same time (or just after) that I attempted to access the BZ in footballhottie's name. Footballhottie, please believe me, I did not access any of your other accounts and I am coming forward now to officailly clear myself a suspect.

I have no problems with anyone on this board and enjoy using it each and everyday. Although my attempts to access her account failed, my attempting is wrong in itself. Therefore if a punishement need be delivered, then I will accept any consequence the staff feels they need to administer.

I didn't think you would try anything malicious, which is why I didn't call you out. It's hard to trust people these days though...I've had something similar happen to me in the past with a Paypal account, but the results were definitely worse than this. In the end I got my money back, but it was a major pain in the ass. I think that's why I am so defensive about this stuff.

While her problems with Yahoo still exist, it is clear that it was not directly linked to BZ, so in your confession, you have cleared up things for her, as well as the staff.

It takes a strong individual to stand up and admit he was wrong... so for that... thank you!
