In recent memory...

Rob Johnson
Chris Watson
Jake Arians

I'm sure some of the older fans can add some oldies to the list. I remember gulping everytime Arians lined up for a kick, even XPs.

Dude you're just naming all the Bills that weren't superstars now. :shakeno:

How could you put Gabe Northern, Kevin Williams, Antwain Smith or Josh Reed on the same list as the "worst Bills of all time" with Rob Johnson and Chris Watson? WTF?

Gildon was a Bill for about 22 minutes. Never even made the 53 man roster. I don't think that counts.

If you base this on cost...then my guess is Rob Johnson is the worst Bill in franchise history. Otherwise...maybe Todd Collins was even worse???

Can't believe we forgot all about good ol Erik. Good call.

bigbub2352
06-21-2005, 12:33 PM
eric flowers cost all most as much as rob johnson, without the signig bonus, i remeber when they drafted flowers chris berman said who is this guy we don't even have tape on him, he was doomed from the start, but rob johnson was definetly the most painful to watch by far

bigbub2352
06-21-2005, 12:34 PM

My vote goes to Erik Flowers. Talk about bust.

I have seen some names on these lists that I don't understand. I won't name all, but Carwell Gardner was a good blocking back, Antowain Smith isn't even on the list of worst RB's we've had let alone all time Bills. He averaged over 700 yards and 6 TD's for us. Nothing to write home about, but not on the "bad player" list either. Jerry Ostroski? He was our #1 backup at every OL position. The guy played fairly well at several spots. I wish we had backups with his versatility now. I'm sure there are more, those are just a few I recall people typing in.

K-Gun

Jeff Wright.

I like the guy don't get me wrong, but he was our NT and he was smaller than Bruce Smith. He was the weak spot...

gabe northern, j.d. williams, mark kelso, jerry ostrosky, sean bryson. antwan smith, kevin williams, charles rodgers, josh reed, sheldon jackson,

How could you put Antwain Smith in that category? He was a part of the running back by committee because the coaches wouldn't go with one guy. Sure he didn't cut it in New England either, but he was a solid player while here. I don't think Josh Reed deserves to be on that list either.

The_Philster
06-21-2005, 03:47 PM
Leif Larsonand from this current team Mike PucciloPucillo is gone, thank God

As far as some of the names
Antowain Smith...take away that running back by committee system and shoot Bishop Harris before he screwed up his running style and he'd have been what we hoped he'd be.
Phillip Crosby..he was playing well enough before his injury that they could've had him as the starter and let Gash go
Gabe 'Zoo' Northern..had some flashes...just not enough to re-sign him
Kevin 'K-Dub" Williams was a pretty solid contributor
Jerry Ostroski might not have been a superstar, but he played well...got the job done..a lunch pail player who busted his ass to make it in the NFL...more players should have his type of resolve

Nice to see you have not changed shotgun.

Rob Johnson was not the worst Bill. Neither was Drew. Or Antowain. These guys at least showed flashes.

Players like Jerry Crafts deserve the nod.

billy joe herbert might be the worst public display of a buffalo bill as well

The_Philster
06-21-2005, 07:39 PM
might be? The Bills had to cut him just to save his life..can you imagine what would've happened that Wednesday when Spielman saw him?

06-21-2005, 08:36 PM
Tough call to name the worst Bill ever. I'm seeing a lot of names here that really don't deserve it. I won't defend Billy Jo Hobo but it was just one really stupid sentence that ruined his career. Jerry "Condo" Crafts (remember, Kelly nicknamed him that because of "House" Ballard) doesn't deserve it. Drew doesn't deserve it. Names like Booker Moore or Tom Cousineau. Maybe Vince Ferragamo or Lonnie's Johnson? They're more along the lines of players that should've been great but sucked, as opposed to the worst Bill ever.

TheBrownBear
06-22-2005, 09:27 AM
I'll go w/ Rob Johnson (clear #1), Erik Flowers, Todd Collins, Drew Bledsoe (not really), Lonnie Johnson, Bucky Brooks, Jake Arians, Billy Joe Hobert, Travares Tillman, Eddie Robinson, Willie Totten (just for fun), Leif Larson, Chris Watson, Kris Farris, Tyrone Robertson (waste of potential), Pukecillo, Corey Hulsey (ok, basically anyone on that 2001 team that's no longer on the squad)

Jan Reimers
06-22-2005, 10:57 AM
If you think Rob Johnson is the worst Bill ever, you're way too young to remember our original number 1 pick, Richie Lucas out of Penn State, who couldn't play a lick.

Here are some ground rules.

1. Had to be on active 53 man roster for more than 8 regular season games
2. Had to make more than vet, league, or rookie minimum
3. Rookies don't count

Rob Johnson (all time worst)
Jake Arians
Billy Joe Holbert
Todd Collins
Eric Flowers
JD Williams

Coaches:
Keving Gilbride (all time worst coach)
