Recently, the Pro Football Hall of fame announced the preliminary list of nominees vying to be named to list of 15 finalists for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2003. Included on list of 74 former players, coaches, and contributors were several with strong Buffalo Bills ties.
Bills owner Ralph Wilson is on the list as a contributor and longtime Buffalo special teams standout Steve Tasker made the list in his first year of Hall eligibility. Guard Joe DeLamielleure and wide receiver James Lofton are on it for the playing accomplishments while former Bills head coach Chuck Knox and one-time Bills QB Tom Flores are nominated as coaches.
The 12 yet-to-be selected finalists will be determined by a straight plurality vote from the preliminary nominee list.
