If that is a problem you, or anyone else can email me (justin.freeman@mtvstaff.com) as I check my email at work and can tell you my next pick if it gets that far into the second round and things are being held up on my accord. No prob man.

Terrible choice. :D

I hope not

I went w/ LT... he can run, catch, racks up huge yardage, and puts points on the boards. Now with Brees and Gates I think D's will have to pay more attention to the offense as a whole and that makes LT more dangerous. That was my reasoning.

Plus, I do not think Manning will have the same year as he did last year. Trying to put up those numbers again will be very difficult, esp that Edge has more to prove if he wants a better deal, I wouldn't be surprised to see him worked into the offense a bit more, if that's even possible... however, I'd def. take him if I had the #2 pick... he's gonna have a huge season. (Manning) :D

I've never played in a league that has 4 pts/TDP... i've always played in leagues that have 6 pts/TDP and -2 for INT's.... and the top RB's almost always either outscore the top QB or pull w/in a couple points, with the exception of last year when Manning went nuts. Priest getting hurt? WM broke his leg in college so that is always lingering.

Also, look at McGahee's numbers last year... somewhat inconsistent. He would have big games, then pile up sub-par yardage the next. Just a thought to consider, though that doesn't matter since you already took him. He's a good pick, but I don't know if I would have taken him that high.

Duce is over-rated.

Disagree.

I had to choose between

Curtis, Corey, Edge, Tiki, Rudi, Clinton, Fred, and Ahman.

The only one's that I can gurantee another 1000 yard season is Deuce, Clinton and Ahman. Curtis, Corey, Edge (just injury prone), Tiki are all old and injury prone, imo. Rudi is still a question mark, imo.

Then it was betweeen Clinton, who only had 5 TD's, Ahman with 7 TD's and Deuce with 9 TD's.

Then I also factored that Deuce only played 14 G's last year. The 2 games were against Arizona and St. Louis. That's for at least 200 yards putting him past Ahman Green in rushing only 40 short of Clinton Portis.

Bill Brasky

Edge scares me. He's an injury waiting to happen. Plus, nobody wanted him and Indy was trying to move him. That's scary.

Ahman plays on the same team as Brett Favre, and Portis had an off year playing for the worst offense in the league.

Edge, in 6 NFL seasons, has only had one season where he played/started less than 13 games and he's had 1 inujury his entire career.

Also, over the last 2 seasons Edge has had more yards and TD's that Deuce, and he plays in an offense that is pass-happy. As far as receiving #'s, Deuce and Edge are pretty much even.

Don't forget that the Bills tried moving Henry and Alexander wasn't signed by anyone as well... it's not his fault the market for RB's is garbage right now. Esp, playing in and offense w/ Peyton Manning, I'd take him over Deuce who plays with that inconsistant piece of junk Brooks on the crappy Saints, anyday.

Bling
06-25-2005, 01:16 PM

Ahman plays on the same team as Brett Favre, and Portis had an off year playing for the worst offense in the league.

Well, Washington didn't get any better. Ramsey continues to be a bust, and who knows what Brunell is up to. I think they drafted that CB from Auburn in the 1st round. Did they sign some WR's or OL's? It didn't look like an off year either. He had a much worse OL than Denver, so his overrated 5.5 avg went to 3.8.

Edge, in 6 NFL seasons, has only had one season where he played/started less than 13 games and he's had 1 inujury his entire career.

He's missed 15 games in the last 4 years. Besides this year, he hasn't had a full season since 2000. I've always found it hard to pull the trigger on guys with past injuries. He did have as many TD's as Deuce this season, though.

Also, over the last 2 seasons Edge has had more yards and TD's that Deuce, and he plays in an offense that is pass-happy. As far as receiving #'s, Deuce and Edge are pretty much even.

More yards?
1641 + 1074 = 2715 <- Deuce
1259 + 1548 = 2807 <- Edge

Deuce has had a better year than Edge's best ever. Edge has more TD's than Deuce by 3 TD's over the last 2 years.

Don't forget that the Bills tried moving Henry and Alexander wasn't signed by anyone as well... it's not his fault the market for RB's is garbage right now. Esp, playing in and offense w/ Peyton Manning, I'd take him over Deuce who plays with that inconsistant piece of just Brooks on the crappy Saints, anyday.

I think the only reason Ramsey has been a "bust" was because they were stupid enough to think that Brunell was a better option than Ramsey. When they signed Brunell last year and put Ramsey on the bench I couldn't help but laugh. Ramsey wasn't bad the season prior... he needed work, but Dan Snyder has to be the most boneheaded/impatient owner in the league to bench him in favor of Mark Brunell... to me, that was probably the dumbest move any team made all last season.

As far as OL, I have no clue if they brought anybody in. At WR I think they have Rod Gardner... other than that I know they have Santana Moss after losing Coles and they picked up David Patten.

I sure wouldn't want to count on Vick as my starting QB. The only time he has a big fantasy game is when he runs for a bunch of yards, and that's unpredictable.
