    Bills report: Notes, quotes
--Veteran backup QB Kelly Holcomb showed during spring drills why the Bills went hard after signing him. In one word: poise. "In the huddle, the scheme, with everything new to him, he doesn't flinch," coach Mike Mularkey said. "The speed of the rush is pretty heavy and he's standing in there and making some throws." http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/report/BUF/8616570

    Bills report: Inside slant
There's a fine line in the NFL between being experienced and over the hill. In the case of the Bills safety core, the club's brain trust is confident that age will once again be served. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/report/BUF/8616569

Holcomb has proven he's a capable starter. With the Bills, I think he'll be surrounded by more talent than he's ever played with in the past. Particularly, WM, EM, and LE. Nice tidbit on the Bills attendance history in this article. Does anyone else notice all the empty orange seats when you watch a Miami game? I was a little surprised they were ranked in the top six.

I'm pretty confident having holcomb on the roster. We may not know if he is a star or not...but I think he's a good guy to have in there if he gets an opportunity we can see what he does.

Not that I do not have confidence in Losman, I love all that I have read so far. However, regardless of Losman's annointing as the starter, Holcomb should have every opportunity to earn the starting position, and I think he will. The fact that he has way more talent here in Buffalo than he ever had in Cleveland, and the experience over Losman, may completely change this situation. Again Holcomb should have every opportunity to showcase his skills. I think Holcomb is a decent quarterback, and Losman is going to have to be damn impressive to win the starting position.

        May the best man win.

Man it is tough not to be damn exctied about our defense next year with Milloy and Vincent at safety. I hope our front four picks their game up. We will have one hell of a defense. I mean we had a hell of a defense last yea rbut if all works out, this defense will be monstrous. Maybe McGee has a breakout year? I was impressed with how he handled himself last year.

I know it is still early, but if our defense and special teams are even close to as good as they were last year, we can make the playoffs. All the offense has to do is be better than they were last year, and with Bledsoe gone, I do not believe that is too much to expect.

That must be based on ticket sales because you're right their stadium looks empty all the time.
