Nothing could spark more July 4 fireworks in this space than my ratings of the NFL starting quarterbacks for the 2005 season.

The rankings are based mostly on projected performance for this season, with recent past performance also a prime factor. Raw individual talent, accomplishments in the more distant past, durability and recent injuries, and complementary talent are lesser considerations. Losman hasn't even started a regular season game and he is already ranked higher than A.J. Feeley. I

I'd say the ranking is spot on.

Drew at 25 and J.P. at 27 ??? lol I bet Drew is feeling more like a loser every day. Hell J.P. hasn't officially taken over the reins yet and he's already about to jump ahead ! I just pity the Cowgirls fans for having to endure "Life with Drew " or is it the "surreal Life "
I doubt J.P. will stay at 27 for long. Let's see where he's at when Mid-season rolls along!

Joey Harrington is rated too high too. What has he ever done to rate higher than Warner, Brooks, Griese or Bledsoe? Not much. The Lions are about 16-48 since they've had Harrington.

the idea is who will do what next year, collins might get some numbers considering he has the best supporting cast (on paper) in the nfl.

i think drew will do well in dallas, and jp will do well in buffalo. we'll win more games and jp will grow into being the double threat this team needs.

if drew was on the raiders he'd warrant a top 10 rank because of the tools they have there too, although the raiders might dissapoint.
