Week 2 Press Conference
Q: Marv, what happen out there today? Just 6 rushes.
Marv Levy: We never intend to go out and run the ball six times. The Playas adjusted very early and left us with few alternatives. Did we rely on the pass way too much? Yes. That won't happen again.
Q: You should be encouraged by the receiving corps. They did their job today.
ML: We passed 61 times. How could they not do their job?
Q: Is Julius Peppers becoming a bit of a disappointment?
ML: I don't think so. He is second on the team in tackles. He had two sacks on the road.
Q: The injury to Wiggins?
ML: Just a game. Nothing big.
Q: You had to be a little impressed that the defense kept McGahee to just 62 yards.
ML: He wasn't our worry today. Did you happen to see Culpepper's stats. He was surgical today. Can't win when you let somebody go 21 of 25.
Q: Any thoughts to pulling Delhomme?
ML: Starters are starters. They don't lose the job due to injury but they have to maintain a high standard. You can't put the ball in the other teams hands three times. I say it week after week you have to win the turnover battle.
Q: Any change of plans for next week?
ML: Run and stop the run.
